Questions
What should an invoice include?
Your business details, the customer's name, an invoice number and date, the work and amounts, the total, and your banking details.
Do I have to add VAT?
Only if your business is registered for VAT with SARS. A VAT-registered business must show its VAT number on a tax invoice — add it in the notes.
What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote is the price you offer before the work. An invoice asks for payment once the work is agreed or done.
